Hi I'm Kara

I am a student at BYU, I study Anthropology. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college and love reading. Science fiction and fantasy are best, but I'll read anything but horror. I love learning about different cultures (hence the Anthropology major) and I really, really, want to travel when I get the chance. I have just gotten out of high school and ran the mock trial club there. During high school I manged to simultaneously annoy my teachers with logical conservative arguments and pass with flying colors.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I decided to be. I listen to the prophets and apostles and hear truth in their statements. I feel truth in their statements. When I pray I know that my Heavenly Father is listening and I know that Christ is the one that made that happen. I am a Mormon because the gospel taught me what it meant to be a child of God, and I lose that when I stop acting like a Mormon, so I decided to be one.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week and am nervous about my new college ward. I know that everyone is going to be welcoming and several people have already started making friends with me, but doesn't stop all the nerves. Attending religion classes is a lot of help in growing my faith.
