Hi I'm Aubrie

Military child and sibling. Theatre geek. Lifetime Church member and full-time missionary.

About Me

As a recently graduated semi-adult, I've been serving a mission in the Billings Montana area since November 13. I love theatre, Harry Potter, and chocolate covered strawberries. I am also terrible at writing "about me" blurbs. Stargazing, kittens, and baking never fail to make me happy. My ultimate weaknesses are cute boys and good music. I've been a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for all 19 years of my life and I wouldn't give up my faith for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

As someone who was raised in the church, it's hard to specifically say why I've chosen to stick with this faith. I've had plenty of opportunities to question this church, the principles I was raised with, and whether or not I believe the teachings to be true. Through every trial I've faced, one thing has remained constant - I have found my stability and comfort in the church. There is a light and a hope in this gospel that I have not found anywhere else. I love this church; I love the virtues it teaches, the inspiration it provides, and the peace it carries with it. Though I am nowhere close to having perfect faith or being an extraordinary Mormon, I love this gospel with everything I have and strive continually exemplify Christ in the things I do, say, and think.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a ward missionary and occasionally step in as a substitute Sunday school teacher. My main focus is on preparing for a mission - this includes rereading the Book of Mormon, studying various church materials, and constantly seeking to draw closer to God. Every day is a struggle to be better than the day before, but with the Lord, nothing is impossible.
