Hi I'm Kirsten

I'm from Portland, Oregon, I'm studying to be a nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the church as the second oldest of eight children. I love anything to do with the ocean or Hawaii. I also love playing the piano, ballroom dancing, swimming, rock climbing, and reading. I am studying to be a nurse and am considering completed a master's of nursing to become an advanced nurse practitioner. I hope to someday travel the world.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church, I pondered on the teachings and prayed to know if it was true. I received a confirmation that, indeed, it was true. This confirmation came in the form of peaceful thoughts and a warm feeling in my heart. As I have continued to study the doctrines, my faith grows. To me, they make so much sense. I love that I can go to Heavenly Father in prayer about anything. I have seen how much happiness living the Gospel brings to myself and those around me. I know that Jesus Christ was sent by Heavenly Father to this earth for the Atonement, and that through its power we can be cleansed from sin and enabled to become perfect beings for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by staying true to the teachings of the church. I consistently attend church meetings and try to read from the scriptures daily. When asked to do serve in the church in any area, I do my best to fulfill that calling. In doing so my relationship with my Savior and Heavenly Father grows as I pray to them for guidance. I also try to be a good example wherever I am.
