Hi I'm Lindsay

I was born in France, raised in Tahiti, I am now studying in the United States. I love to dance and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents were both converted to the Church and both served a mormon mission! I am always trying to live as righteously as I can. I am really grateful for having the Gospel in my life! I am currently going to college and preparing to serve a mormon mission as well. I love dancing, singing, acting, reading, drawing, making friends and hanging out with them, watching movies, and just having fun! I am always trying new things and I love that! One of my big strengths is my smile that I try to keep constantly on my face :) Why? Because I express the joy the Church is giving me and because I know that life is more beautiful when you look on the bright side (and it is huge!!).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this is what brings me happiness in my life! Being a Mormon gave me a purpose and ways to accomplish it. My purpose is to return to my Heavenly Father and live with Him forever after my time is done on this earth. The Scriptures tell us that nothing can be in the presence of God if it is not pure. I am not perfect. And God knows it. This is why He gave us the blessing of the Atonement. Through Jesus Christ's Atonement, we can repent and try again. We just need to accept this blessing. Us accepting the gift of the Atonement is like a child taking piano practices. The parents already paid for them. The child just has to choose if he or she will choose not to practice; or if he or she will accept this gift and use it to discover the beauty of music and develop talents. The child will never be able to repay the parents or the piano teacher. The parents know it. They don't expect money. They expect their child to use their sacrifice to discover something better and fill the house with music. We all have this gift. The Savior already paid for us. He doesn't expect us to repay Him. He just wants us to accept His sacrifice and use it wisely to be better and become like Him. We shouldn't say that we don't deserve it or aren't worthy. It would be acting like the child who decides not to practice. Our Heavenly Father is a God of graces. What is grace? Grace is receiving something we don't deserve. It is like a blessing. God gives me blessings every day of my life. I know He loves me and I love Him. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints is His true and restored Gospel. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Serving others is something that I put a priority on. I do it through simple things: smiling, listening to them, making them laugh... Because I love others, I love seeing them happy. Dancing is also a blessing God gave me. Through it, I feel closer to Him. I know He is the One who gave me a functional body that allows me to express myself through dance. I understood that our lives are like our bodies: they are not perfect because perfect bodies don't exist. But they are full of potential and strengths. They are also full of weaknesses. But the cool thing is that we can choose to work on these weaknesses and make them strengths instead on focusing on them and be sad. When I dance, I have to learn combinations and sometimes I mess up and fall on the ground. But this is not what I call failure. Failure is staying on the ground and refusing to do the combination again and again and again until I know it perfectly. By deciding to do it again, I am more likely to fall again and be bruised. But it will help me remembering to be careful and do it right because I know it hurts. Our bodies carry scars like our lives carry stories. And they help us remember what we accomplished and what we want to accomplish. Like our lives, our bodies allow us to do multiple things. We just have to choose what we want to do with it and what we want to express through it! Nobody is going to do it for us because nobody can come in our body. We are the ones who choose what we want to do. And this is what is beautiful! Our Heavenly Father gave us the ability to choose so that we can mess up and learn how to do it right! I live my faith by using this ability wisely: I use my life to love God, love my family, love my friends and love others.
