Hi I'm McKaelin Edralin

I love being outdoors. I love math. I grew up in Hawaii. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Hawaii most of my life and was raised as a vegetarian. I love my family and being with them. My favorite thing to do with my brother would be kayak surfing. I love to do anything outdoors and have fun. I love math and reading. I am an Eagle Scout. I am currently serving in the Idaho Boise Mission and I love being a missionary. After my mission I plan on attending BYU - Idaho to major in Electrical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the church at age 8 and a few months later got baptized. I went to church but mainly because my parents wanted me to go. I wasn't truly converted to the gospel and didn't have a testimony of its truthfulness. When I was about 13 years old my family went inactive for two years. It was a hard two years for me in that I wasn't really sure of anything and made some mistakes. It happens. When I was 15 my parents started taking my brother and I back to church. I was 16 when I became truly converted. Everyone around me would testify of the church's truthfulness, say they could feel the spirit, and they seemed so happy all the time. So I wanted to know for myself if this church is true. I don't remember when it happened, but one day the answer to my question came. It hit me like a train and I just knew that this was Heavenly Fathers church established on earth. Since then I have made every effort to contribute to God's church. I have been steadfast in my beliefs and no longer have any doubts. As a result from that, I am serving in the Idaho Boise Mission as a full time missionary.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to become better everyday, little by little. Whenever possible I try to serve others. I pray daily, read the scriptures, and stick to my values.

What is faith?

McKaelin Edralin
Faith is an action word. Faith is to believe and have hope for things not seen, but are true. A Book of Mormon prophet, Alma, compares faith to a seed. If you plant it and nourish it, it will grow and bear fruit. Faith is the same. If you study God's word, are obedient, put your trust in God, and have a desire to believe in Christ, your faith will grow. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

McKaelin Edralin
The Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ lived and that He was and is God's Son. The Book of Mormon contains writings from ancient prophets and record keepers. This book contains teachings of Jesus Christ and shows his love for us. The Book of Mormon concludes with a promise that if you read it and pray sincerely, you can know by the Holy Ghost that it is true. It does not replace the bible, rather it adds to it. What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

McKaelin Edralin
The Word of Wisdom is a health code. This health code helps to keep our bodies healthy. It talks about staying away from tobacco and other harmful drugs. It also talks about not drinking alcohol, coffee, and tea. All of this is to help keep our minds clear, to be physically strong, and healthy. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

McKaelin Edralin
Alma, a prophet from the Book of Mormon, has said "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors." Heavenly Father loves us. He created a plan for all of his children to come to earth so that we may: receive a physical body, exercise agency and learn/ grow from our experiences so that we can become more like our Heavenly Father, and form family relationships that may become eternal. By following what our Heavenly Father has asked of us, all can someday return to live with Him and with your loved ones. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

McKaelin Edralin
Missionaries messages focus on Jesus Christ and His Atonement. Missionaries want to strengthen your relationship with Heavenly Father and Christ. They teach our Heavenly Father's plan of salvation, which will allow everyone the opportunity to live with Him again. Show more Show less
