Hi I'm Rachel Singleton

I am a loving, fun, happy, and devoted individual. I am unique. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very sensitive person who is intuitive to the thoughts and feelings of those around me. With this gift, I have found it hard to prevent myself from being hurt by the negativity and darkness that is so prevelent in the world today. It was especially rough being the youngest of seven and growing up with military involved brothers. I grew up with gorillas. I love to be out doors! I was a counselor for the Brighton LDS Girls Camp and loved it! I wood burn, sew, hike, draw and have fun! I have lived in Fontana California for a semester of my high school experience and had many wonderful missionary opportunities. I am a student in college and am currently serving a mission in Fiji.

Why I am a Mormon

This is the most important question. I am a Mormon because it brings be eternal happiness and answers to life's questions. The moment I chose to follow my Heavenly Father 100% was when I was about ten years old. I had had a really bad day and it concluded with me releasing heart wrenching tears alone in my bedroom. I was in so much emotional and mental anguish. I didn't know what to do with myself. I was so alone. As I was sitting on my bed for a while, the Spirit brought to my remembrance the chorus of my favorite primary song: "Pray, He is there. Speak, He is listening. You are His child. His love now surrounds you." The moment I heard these words in my head they entered my heart and I was filled with warmth and light. I felt as if I was being hugged by heavenly arms and I knew that I am never alone. I knew from that moment on that Christ would always be by my side. That He loves me and that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father. My life was no longer in darkness for I had found Christ and the Hope and Light that He gives. I know I can do all things with His help. I will do anything I can for Him and His Gospel. Christ is my Redeemer and Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in every moment I can. I follow Him 100% because that is what He deserves. I know I am not perfect but when I give my all I know He is proud of me. Having served in several callings, I know how great it is to be supported by others and so I take it seriously to sustain others. I show Heavenly Father how much I care by being His tool to help and serve others. As a youth I made it a goal to never miss mutual unless it was completely necessary. I stuck to it. Even when I had my wisdom teeth out. I showed up to that next activity with a scarf over my face to cover my bruised and swollen cheeks. I know He appreciates all the little things I do to show Him that I care and that I am listening for His instruction. I know my Savior Lives and so I keep going. I have faith in Christ and I drives me to look forward and have hope.
