Hi I'm Brianna Eyre

I'm a normal girl. I'm an avid reader, a writer and singer, a family loving, happy girl and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a new graduate from high school, mission bound, and excited about life! In high school, I was heavily involved in yearbook as well as show choir and my school's National Honor Society. I love a good story and could sit and read for hours at a time. I also love to try my hand at writing and art every now and then. I love to sing, but my car steering wheel is my most common audience. I can't claim performing as my strong point, but it's always a good experience when I do. I also love to learn new things! I am fascinated by how things work. Physics, Psychology and History are my favorite subjects to learn about, though I think I excelled far more in my art and English classes in high school. I'm a family girl. I would rather spend time with my family than anyone else. I also love rainy days, beautiful sunsets, and the night sky.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but as I've grown older I've also gained a testimony of my own. Throughout high school, I struggled with self doubt and low self esteem among other problems. I was terrified of what the people around me thought of me. I often felt very depressed and I think that's when I started turning to my Savior more. I found that when I would study the Book of Mormon and pray with faith, I felt comfort, good about myself and I felt God's love for me. My problems didn't feel so big anymore and many of them even went away. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants to hear from us. He doesn't ever get tired of hearing from us either. He is not selfish in the least and He doesn't get mad at us when we fall short. He is disappointed and sad, but He still loves us and only wants for us to safely return to Him. I know He loves us more than we could comprehend. I know that He allowed His only begotten son to come down to earth and take our sins upon Him and suffer for them so that we could have a way back home. And that way is repentance and faith in our Savior. I know our Savior not only took our sins upon Him in Gethsamene, but also all of our burdens, sorrows, and pains as well. He did this individually and He did this so that we would never have to be alone. Because of what our Savior did for us, He alone knows and has complete empathy for what we are going through at all times in our lives. We never have to be alone! I also know that trials are part of a loving Heavenly Father's plan for us. He didn't give us trials to be mean or because He doesn't love us. He allows us to suffer trials and afflictions because He knows that is how we will grow and learn so that if we endure them with faith, one day we can become like Him. I know that our Savior and our Heavenly Father never give up on us! They never will! Self doubt and discouragement are not from God. I'm a Mormon because every day I need the power of the atonement of Christ in my life.

How I live my faith

Every day, I study the Book of Mormon and every day I focus on trying to improve myself. I'm always trying to be a little bit better. I try to focus on my family and their needs. I pray every morning when I wake up and every night before I go to sleep, but I've also found that that is not enough for me. I need my Heavenly Father's help and spirit with me throughout the day. I also know that our Heavenly Father wants to hear from us. He wants to hear about our day and for us to counsel with Him. I love to tell my Heavenly Father about things I'm going through throughout the day because I know He cares and understands and I know that He will help me and give me strength in times of need. I try to be grateful in my prayers because I know that gratitude is enabling. When you start thinking of things you are grateful for, there's a whole host of other blessings you hadn't even realized before. It is incredible to see how much we are blessed and how much our Heavenly Father loves us. We could never repay Him for all He's done and continues to do for us, but that doesn't stop Him from blessing us more. He wants to bless us and He can as we keep His commandments. I also try to serve people as much as I can. I've been visiting an assisted living home a lot lately and I've come to realize that the person giving the service is just as or more blessed by the service than the person receiving the service. My mom and I also visit and teach a few ladies in my ward. This was a calling we received. It has been a blessing in my life as we've gotten to know the women living around us better. It's helped me to learn to see the good in people and taught me that there is so much good in this world still and especially in individuals.
