Hi I'm David Hilton

I was born in Arizona, and adopted when I was 2 years old. I'm going to be a personal trainer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name's David and I'm number three in a family of four kids. I love to be moving--on my feet and outdoors. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. I believe that every mountain we're given to climb, no matter how big it seems, is an opportunity to grow and come out stronger. I've been called to serve a mission in the Michigan Detroit Mission and I'm excited to be able to share what brings me such happiness and hope!

Why I am a Mormon

I was adopted into a Mormon family so I've been raised Mormon but I knew I needed to gain my own testimony. I needed to know it was true for myself. Throughout my life, I recognized a pattern: when I lived the principles of the Gospel that I'd been taught I was happy and I felt full. When I lived according to the world's standards, I was satisfied for a time, but it never lasted and always left wanting more. I needed the hope that the Gospel gives me. I'm a Mormon because it keeps me going and gives me the hope that I can overcome anything with God's help.

How I live my faith

I've been called to serve a two-year mission in Detroit! I chose to take two years of my life and give them to God. Throughout my life I've had a lot of trials but going to church and my Wednesday night youth activities, having Family Home Evening with my family, and reading my scriptures really helped keep my eyes open to the Lord's love for me. I know He has a plan for me and He has guided me to where I am today.
