Hi I'm Joseph Kozlowski

I grew up in Idaho and attended school at BYU. I love music. I am called to serve in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission.

About Me

I love music! Since early childhood my mom has played soothing piano music throughout the house. I began taking piano lessons when I was 7 and have continued to this day. I have even been a piano teacher of my own. My love for music doesn't end with the piano. Singing has been a part of my life for many years. I was a part of my school choir, a community choir, and even a few A Cappella groups. There is a peace and joy and power that comes from good music incomparable to anything else. Lives can be blessed and changed through the power of music. Among other things, I greatly value my education. I love learning about everything this world has to offer! After graduating high school, I attended college at BYU for half a year where my love for learning only grew. I love the sciences especially because everywhere you look you can only find evidences of a loving Creator. Recently I was called to serve as a missionary in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. I can't wait to give two years of my life to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is everything to me. I have grown up being taught the gospel and every day I see the blessings that come from it. I have a loving family and wonderful friends who strengthen me. This world can be an ugly place, but I have felt the peace of heaven as I live the things Jesus taught. This is His church restored in the latter days. I know this because I have prayed to know that it is. Jesus is at the head of His church. He lived, bled, and died to save me, a sinner. I know I can never fully repay what was done for me, so I do the very best I can with what I know. I try my best to be obedient to God, to love Him and His children, and to serve in every way I can. Because I have felt the love and peace that comes from being a part of His church I desire that all might feel the same. I know God lives. I know Jesus is the Christ, my Savior. I know He still speaks to us through the mouth of a prophet. I know that as we follow the teachings of Jesus, repent, be baptized by authority, and live according to His words we can be saved and live again with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is not just for Sunday worship. With my family I do attend church and partake of the sacrament to be reminded of Christ always. Also, I teach little four year olds the simpleness of the gospel. I love them! But every day I kneel with my family and pray to our Father in Heaven. Every day I read the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon, to learn more about God and what He would have me do. Every day I strive to live as Jesus taught, to be an example and influence for good and to serve my fellow brothers and sisters. I seek out opportunities to serve and to love those around me. I know music particularly has power to touch lives, and I have been blessed with the gift of music in my life. I sing and play the piano so others can feel the love and the goodness of God. I follow the teachings of God's prophets here on the earth and always hope to share the light that I enjoy with others.
