Hi I'm Abby

I love bluegrass and nature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Snow College, and I absolutely love it! I enjoy playing bluegrass music, volleyball, watching Netflix, and simply being in nature. I think that having pineapple and pepperoni on the same pizza tastes awesome. I have traveled to the Czech Republic, Poland, Ireland, Serbia, Romania, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic and have also met and grown close to people from Ecuador, Mexico, France, Russia, Lithuania, Turkey, Chile, India, Australia, and many others. I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity to experience many different cultures and beliefs because it has helped me to open my eyes and see everyone as my brothers and sisters in God, and I love them.

Why I am a Mormon

What if I told you that there is a life after death, that there is a living prophet today that speaks the word of God, that Jesus Christ came to this earth and suffered and died for us, that miracles still happen, that angels visit the earth, that God has a plan for you specifically, and that you can communicate with Him? Even if it seems too good to be true, don't you at least hope that it's true? Don't you think that it's worth investigating and finding out for yourself? These are the questions that got me started on my path to conversion. I figured that if there is a God, and there is a heaven and hell, I'd better find out as much as I can about it so that I can end up in Heaven where I want to be. Something amazing that I've learned about God is that if you want to know if His gospel is true, He's going to let you know because He loves you and wants you to return to Him in heaven again. I read His holy scriptures, the bible and the Book of Mormon, and I asked Him through prayer if these things were true. He answered my prayer in the affirmative. My mind was enlightened and my soul was filled with joy, I felt His holy spirit in my heart. So why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because when I asked God if the scriptures (particularly the Book of Mormon) were true, I felt His peaceful, holy spirit. I cannot deny that it was an answer from God because NOTHING except this gospel can make me feel that way. This gospel is for real!

How I live my faith

I organize fun activities for the young single adults in my church congregation. We sometimes do weird, wacky, fun activities but always in the spirit of the Lord. By this I mean that we have fun while strengthening friendships, encouraging each other, and serving and loving one another. We have a fun, wholesome environment where young people can get to know each other, have fun, and feel the spirit of the Lord.
