Hi I'm Ellen

I love laughing, dancing, and snacking on cheese! And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, I'm Ellen! I'm a college student studying Public Relations and Communications. I lived in Ukraine for a year and a half as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and while there, I learned Russian and a little bit of Ukrainian! I'm what the kids today would call a homebody- most of my favorite hobbies take place indoors, like sewing, sleeping, and making grilled cheese sandwiches.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that it's just the best way to live! My membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has lead me to more blessings, opportunities, and happiness than I could have found anywhere else. I am a firm believer that God sent us here to be happy and have JOY! And the same Gospel that God has always used to reach out to His children is restored in fullness on the earth today, for us! I know that Our Heavenly Father lives, that He knows us, and that He loves us. I know that He has a plan for each of us to be happy in this life and to return to live with Him someday. That undeniable knowledge has brought me more happiness than I can describe, and that's why I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Because faith is a conviction that should motivate us to ACT, I try to live my faith in as many ways as possible. The time I spent serving the people of Ukraine gave me the amazing opportunity of recognizing just how many opportunities are always out there for us to reach out and help others. When we really look around, there is always something good to be done or someone special to be served and loved. I always strive to keep God's commandments and follow the example that our Savior Jesus Christ set, so that I can be ready and worthy to lend a helping hand when times like that arise. And in doing all of those things, my faith is strengthened! So that's how I live my faith :)
