Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in Salt Lake City, but I lived much of my life around the world.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, but spent much of my life living around the world, including Germany, Guatemala, South Africa, Kenya, and Austria. I speak fluent German and some Spanish. I have been married, divorced, remarried, widowed, and married again. Along the way I have accumulated a blended family with 14 children, two of whom were adopted from Russia and plus another adopted from China. Life certainly has not turned out the way I expected! Even so, my faith in the Lord has carried me through all the tough times and has shown me what I need to do to be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church, and I have always known in my heart that the church was true. I was raised by good, righteous parents who taught me by example. I was quite poor as a child, but I have come to believe that my poverty was a blessing. Because I didn't have a lot of material wealth, I focused more on more important things, like God and family. I have always found great strength from prayer, the scriptures, and giving service to others. I hate to think where I would be today if I didn't have those things in my life to keep me centered and give my life meaning.

How I live my faith

As a middle aged man, I work with the more seasoned members of my congregation. I help organize teaching and service opportunities, as well as social events. I also help look after the widows to make sure that their needs are met.
