Hi I'm KensLee Doman

I've grown up in Utah. I have been called to serve an LDS mission in Lisbon, Portugal. I love this gospel, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am about ready to leave on my LDS mission to Lisbon, Portugal and I couldn't be more ecstatic. I love to travel whether it be for my own pleasure or for service for others. I was able to backpack all through Europe and now I have the opportunity to go back, this time to share this beautiful gospel that I love. I also had the opportunity to go on two service missions to Guatemala, where I fell in love with the people. I was an amazing experience to go to a third world country, where they literally have nothing, and regardless are the happiest people you'll ever meet, and to be able to spend every day serving and helping them. I also love to be outdoors, whether its running, soccer, camping, skiing, boating, you'll find me doing it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to have been born into this gospel to a family who has taught me its principles since day one. Being able to rely on my parents testimonies while I was younger was such a blessing and a strength to me. I have never doubted that this gospel was true but as I started to go through the struggles of growing up I realized that I needed to have a testimony of my own. As I begin to more earnestly read and study the scriptures, paying more close attention in church and humbly praying to find a testimony of my own, that was when I gained a testimony of my own. I then decided that I wanted others to have the blessing of the gospel in their lives and that is why I have chosen to serve a mission.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith I believe is through my example and the things I choose to involve myself in. I recently had the opportunity to attend Trek, which for those who don't know is when a Stake or Ward gets together and goes to a desolate place and for a week or a few days gets to live like the pioneers did. We spend days trekking out in the hot sun, playing pioneer games, sleeping on tarps under the stars, no showers, you just rough it for the few days. I had the opportunity to be the Ma for my Trek family and it was such a neat experience to be able to be up there with these younger kids, who all took the time out of there summer, and to watch them relive what their ancestors did for them. As we all learned of the sacrifices that each one of our ancestors made to be able to follow the prophets council and come to the Salt Lake Valley, it was truly humbling. I believe it is through acts of faith like these that my testimony of this gospel is built.
