Hi I'm Esther

I grew up in the beautiful islands of Hawaii. I love to sing and dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Hawaii, but I'm of Tongan-Tahitian descent. I'm the youngest of 4 and an aunty of 7. I love to sing and dance... Oh! And eat! I'm currently serving in the Japan Nagoya Mission and it's SUCH an amazing experience being here as a servant of the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the gospel is true. I've been blessed to be born into a member family. I've grown up around gospel principles that were taught to me by my loving parents. I love this gospel because it truly IS the gospel of happiness! I've experienced many difficult and trying times in my life and the basic, fundamental knowledge of knowing that our Heavenly Father and brother, Jesus Christ LOVES us and is aware of our needs, made all the difference. And knowing that when we make mistakes, it's not the end of the world. It's through the atonement of Jesus Christ that we are able to become clean again and to start anew! The gospel has so much to offer. One of my favorite things that I LOVE about the gospel is that we're family oriented. Everything revolves around the family. The knowledge that you were sent here for a special purpose and that you were sent to a loving mother and father, who will help to lead and guide you down the path of righteousness is just amazing. Is there such thing as an after-life and will I be able to be with my loved ones again? YES! Through the power of sealing, we're able to be sealed to our families for time and ALL eternity! Doesn't that sound GREAT? No amount of words could ever explain how grateful I am for this gospel and how wonderful it is! But if there is anything I'd want to leave with you, it'd be that I KNOW that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ, and that I love it!

How I live my faith

I'm a teacher in our ward's primary. I teach the CTR 5 class. When I was called to be the CTR 5 teacher, I thought "Oh man, you must have A LOT of faith in me!" I thought it was going to be hard, BUT as I sat there on my first Sunday as these 5 year old's new teacher, I was touched by their spirits. They were so happy and eager to learn more about Our Savior, Jesus Christ, and I wasn't about to deny them of that blessing. From being a primary teacher, I've learned that these kids will be the leaders of tomorrow. The things that WE teach them, can make or break them. So why deny them the opportunity to learn the correct doctrines and principles of the gospel? The opportunity is there and I know that with the knowledge of the gospel, these children will become GREAT leaders and teachers for their future callings and families.
