Hi I'm Amber M.

i from the a small town right in the middle of the US. I'm in college, I'm trying to figure out who i want to be and I'm Mormon.

About Me

im a convert. i grew up in Iowa. My biological parents divorced when i was 2. i have 2 half brothers i grew up with. when i turned 17 i moved out of my dads house and into a family friends house who were LDS.. at 18 they adopted me. along with new parents i also got 4 new siblings, they helped me grow in the gospel, and get back on my feet. i am now enrolled in college and starting a new life.

Why I am a Mormon

i was converted when i was 9. my mom married an LDS member and we took the missionary lessons as a family. when i moved to my dads i became inactive. moving back to my moms a few yrs later became active but had issues with her husband so moved back with my dad but then became very sad and lost, so i moved in with family friends, active once again and am moving forward and don't intend to turn back anymore. The Church saved my life in more ways than one.

How I live my faith

I teach in primary, i get to teach the 6-7 year olds in my ward. i started off just sitting in with a teacher because it was a large class, which turned into co-teaching. now im the teacher and i love each child i get to be with in my class. Being a teacher as well as a convert not only lets me teach the kids but i get to learn as well. it might be the basics but not only do i get to teach others but i also get to teach myself and where better than the basics?

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Amber M.
its not required to be a full time missionary. but every member is a missionary in every day life. and strive to have a missionary moment each day, to share the gospel with others. its an enjoyment. Show more Show less
