Hi I'm Jenni Horner

I grew up in Heber city Utah. I love to sing, run, and play the banjo. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family, with 11 siblings. I love my family and i love the valley i grew up in. I'm a pretty plain Jane kind of person but i love the mountains and doing anything outdoors. I grew up playing various sports but settled into running and swimming as my two favorite ( mostly because i am pretty uncoordinated;) I love music and reading. I like to keep myself busy and find a lot of value from working hard. I love the friends i grew up with and admire their creativity when it came to finding things to do in this small valley. right now i am preparing to serve a mission and will be leaving in November. i am ecstatic to serve the Lord and the people there. after 18 months i have plans to attend college and i guess i will see what goes out from there.

Why I am a Mormon

Whether you grew up in the Gospel or Whether you were baptized on your 99th birthday, i believe we all have a conversion story. I have always liked going to church but have never been a perfect believer. sometimes i have doubts, and i often don't understand. but what i do know is that God is there and that he loves me...i know that this is his gospel. Yes, doubts creep into my head at times, but all i have to do is remember how i feel. I love being Mormon and i am not ashamed to proclaim that. I love believing in family. i love believing in life after this, i love this gospel, and i love God.

How I live my faith

Well I grew up in the LDS faith and have a deep belief in God. my Testimony is always growing as I learn more about the Gospel. I love the Book of Mormon and believe that it is the quintessence of all books. it is said that it is the most true book out of any. I love the Bible and also believe it to be Holy Scripture as i learn and grow from it's teachings as well. I am still young but have served in a few callings. I was called as a part of the Seminary Council. The Seminary is a place for highschool age students to learn more about the scriptures. It's almost like sunday school except that is during the week. this was an amazing experience and helped me reach out more and serve those inside the school. I also learned to be more comfortable with speaking. we were often given opportunities to have devotionals for out peers and i was strengthened by the knowledge and experiences that others in my highs school had. i also loved serving the girls in my ward ( kind of like a congregation in most churches). they all have kindred spirits and i am truly blessed to have grown up in such an uplifting environment. I have also been called into the nursery before (a place for children 1-3 to come during sunday school) what an awesome experience:) there is so much to learn from children. Currenty i am called as a missionary! I am in the missionary training center learning norweigian and how to better serve people and will be heading to Norway very soon. I am so grateful for this experience and i love what i am learning.
