Hi I'm Collette Kibler

Hi, my name is Collette Kibler, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I consider myself a relatively normal person, but I know I am a daughter of God which makes me special, and helps me remember that I have worth. I am a Mormon. I love playing sports, caring for animals, doing lots of arts and crafts and singing. I can never stick with one hobby for to long because I get bored rather quickly. But one thing I don't get bored with is the Gospel of Jesus Christ because I am always working to better myself in lots of ways. Even though I know I will never be perfect I am ok with that, because I know I will always have something to improve upon for myself.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young teenager my parents told me "we taught you what is right as you grew up, and now it is your choice to either live what we taught you or not, but know you are always responsible for the consequences of your actions." I really appreciated that from my parents because it made me realize that I had to gain my own testimony and not depend on my parents. SO I sought after my own testimony and was able to find it and grow from it. In school it was often that people would question or test my testimony and others even wanted me to convert to their religion, but because I had prayed and searched for answers for myself I knew what I believed, and I knew for myself that what I believe is true. I depend on my testimony and the assurance I've felt that this gospel is the true gospel of Jesus Christ, because of that I knew then and I know now that I couldn't turn away from my beliefs because they are my own and not just my parents.

How I live my faith

I have always been very open about my beliefs to my friends and co workers, and very willing to share, but never push my beliefs on others. I believe that everyone has a right to believe what they wish and I respect that, all I ask is the same respect in return. Growing up my friends always appreciated that about me, because they knew what I believed and respected it, they knew I would respect them no matter what they chose to do. I believe you can love the person without loving the sins, because we all sin in our own ways so judging one another for those different choices just isn't necessary. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of love, which is why I invite everyone to learn about it, because I know it'll bring them closer to Christ and into his loving arms.
