Hi I'm Genesee Baird

I am a missionary in the Nebraska Omaha Mission, neuroscientist-in-the-making, piano player, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary in Omaha, Nebraska. I have two brothers and a sister. My mom died about 7 years ago, and my dad is trying to raise us to the best of his ability. Having moved around a lot, I know what it's like to be alone. I love the gospel and the temple, and I would be nowhere without the gospel and Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, not just because this is what my family does, but because I love the gospel and the church. It gives me so much peace and direction that I know most other people don't have. I am so much happier because I have assurance of right and wrong and I know what my ultimate goal in life is. The gospel helps me become a better person and more like who I want to be. I love having the reassurance that that the gospel of Jesus Christ and His Atonement give me.

How I live my faith

I am currently on my mission, first of all, but also I live my faith by trying to bring happiness into the lives of people around me. I say hi to and smile at as many people as I possibly can. I try to live my faith by testifying of Christ in all I say and do. My purpose is to bring others unto Christ, and I try to be a representative of Him in everything I am.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Genesee Baird
We believe that families can be together forever! We believe that if we follow the commandments of Jesus Christ, and are sealed together as families in God's Holy Temples, we can live together not only in this life, but also in the life to come. I know that death of a sibling or spouse is overcome by the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the sealing of families in the Holy Temple. Show more Show less
