Hi I'm Jaden Cunningham

I'm from Cedar City, Utah, love playing sports and being outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have my associates degree and I'm only 18. I love to play and watch football and be outside. Camping, hunting, and fishing are my main areas of interest and I have been doing them my entire life. I have an upbeat personality and I love talking to people and getting to know them. I became an Eagle Scout when I was 13. I have worked part time at the same business since the moment I turned 16, and have loved my time there. I like to rock climb and have been doing so for only about 8 months, but do so on a weekly basis. I played baseball and football in high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I kind of already described my conversion story in my last entry, so I will use this space to express why this church is important to me. I want to be happy in my life, and the only way I can achieve true happiness is by living my best every day. This church helps us to do that, and by following the guidance of church leaders we can taste of that true happiness and eventually return to our Heavenly home. I want others to feel the same way I do, and that is why I have decided to serve a mission. Why would 18 year old boys choose to leave their lives for two years if their message was not the truth? The church shows the only way back to our Heavenly Father and eternal life. I will settle for nothing less than eternal salvation, and this is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I have grown up in the church, but haven't been "convinced" or "totally converted" until almost a year ago. I always just went to church with my family, but every chance I had I would do the opposite of what my leaders and parents would tell me to do. I was not interested in the church and only went because my parents made me. About a year ago, I was struggling in school and the thought came to me that maybe I should clean up some of the things I was doing in order to get help from God in school. I prayed and vowed to stop making the wrong decisions if He would help me to do better in school. My grades improved immediately and that's when my life began to turn around. Since then, I have committed to serve a mission and have gotten a calling in my ward to teach a Sunday School class of 14 year old boys and girls and I absolutely love it. I spend my week being a good example and continuing to do the right things, because I know that everything I have is not due to my talents or knowledge; everything good that happens to me is a blessing from God for doing the right things and contributing to the progression of His kingdom here on Earth. Nothing good comes from being bad, so why would I want to live that way? This is how I live my faith.
