Hi I'm I'm Tanai Rogers

I'm Australian, I play the flute and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tanai Rogers and I am 19 years old. I play the flute and am currently studying classical music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. My aspirations for the future is to become a professional orchestral musician/performer. I am about to serve my mission for 18 months in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. I am the 3rd oldest of 9 children, 6 boys and 3 girls. My main hobby is music which I spend most my time doing. I also enjoy playing the piano, cello and singing. I love being in the outdoors and going on adventurous hikes with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church with my parents already being members after my grandparents were introduced to the church and then were baptized. While I was younger I never really thought about whether or not I was converted to the church having always relied on the faith of my parents. It wasn't until I was older that I received a true conversion having received a spiritual witness that this gospel was true, Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Book of Mormon was indeed another witness of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life in line with the principles of the gospel for I have found that this brings me the greatest joy. Growing up in the church I have been given many opportunities to serve others particularly through music by being a chorister/playing the piano during church meetings and organizing choir items to be performed in our community. The greatest blessing I have been given is the opportunity to serve a mission. I am so excited to serve a mission and to be able to share the gospel in hope that it will bring as much joy to others lives as it has brought to mine.
