Hi I'm Belle Barbu

Hi, I started my journey in Romania, then Wisconsin, and now Oregon! My journey is just beginning! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to eat! Banana, berry, and veggie smoothies, kale salads! and much more!..Yum! By the way, I am turning one of those lovely health nuts! I love being outdoors, with my shoes off. It's rare to see me with shoes on! Serving people and keeping the peace are some of my greatest passions. I love to express myself through wildly dancing. A quote said by someone I value very much and sums up how I see life, "I love LOVE!"

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 16 years old. I found myself searching for something. The weird thing was that I kept searching for that one thing, but I couldn't explain it to anyone. After a couple years of going to Young Women's camp I had a little taste of what I think I really wanted. That was Jesus Christ! I remember the first time I felt the spirit. I was wondering why I was so at peace, beacuse things at home were not blissful. It was amazing, ALL my worries and problems were gone- I was finally at peace. My soul found what it was searching for. A love that nobody could give me, it was His love. So when I was in my freshman year of college I decided to be baptized! And that's when my life changed for the better. I had lost much that was very close to me, but in return gained something much greater that no human could come close to; which is the Lords love, comfort, compassion and many more things that He gives us. A relationship with my best friend, mentor, and loving Father is the greatest gift I could ever ask for. There are so many promises He gives us if we we obey the commandments.

How I live my faith

My faith is something I do everyday. It's not like when you put gas in your tank and it last for a day to days. I have to keep putting a little gas in my tank everyday! So reading the scriptures and praying are what really keep me going. The best thing I have is HOPE. The calling I'am about to fulfill is to become a full time missionary! I am so excited for that calling! It is giving me a chance to serve a whole community! Hometeaching is like being a missionary, except it's not full time and it is only once a month. I have personally grown from hometeaching. You learn to love that person you are visiting and you begin to have just a glance at how much our Lord loves each one of His children.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Belle Barbu
Families... Creating a functional family takes a lot of work if you think about, especially in this era. First, the right two people fall in love, and then they get married. After that they have a child together. The mother takes 9 months to co-create (with God) the babe inside of her. Taking the elements aka vitamins and minerals from the foods she eats to create this beautiful child. I bet you have found a new level of love and care for that child, just imagine how God feels, except we all are His children. Families are very important to us beacuse they care and love for us physically. We learn so much from them also. Show more Show less
