Hi I'm Elder Jon Lewis

I grew up in Georgia, Where the people are always friendly. I am on a mission in Jamaica and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of the things that I am interested in are sports, art, working out and just having a good time hanging out with my friends. I currently attend BYU-Idaho, in Rexburg, and I must say that I have really enjoyed my time on that wonderful campus. I hope to attend Provo sometime soon after my mission. I currently have a mission call to the Jamaica, Kingston mission. I am the second oldest of 5 and also the first member of my family to attend college or serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I feel that the teachings of the church are very important and true. Being a member of this wonderful church has blessed my life in so many ways that I would've never imagined. I have read and prayed for myself that the Book of Mormon is true. I know this is the true church of the lord and that being a faithful member of it pleases him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith just by being an example to others. Growing up in the south there aren't as many members as there are out west. This is one of the reasons why it is important to be a good example to others. There are always people watching and observing the members of my ward. By being an example and living the way that heavenly father wants us to live we show him how much we love him. It also shows people not of our religion that our church has respectable values. Growing up all I've pretty much ever known is sports. I've had many people ask me questions about our faith and i'm so thankful for the opportunity to tell others what we are about. I live my faith by living according to the standards heavenly father has set for us and being an example to others around me.
