Hi I'm Seong

I am Korean-Canadian. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I studied Political Science and Public Policy. I am a recent graduate, looking for a job in the government. I am a frequent traveler, and am still looking for a place to call home. Having served a mission I love serving the church and the community~

Why I am a Mormon

Well to start, I was born into the church (Parents are converts). I think my story is really unoriginal and typical for a lot of people that were born into the church. First, the question that arises is whether you really believe the things being taught or not. Just because your parents brought you to church all the time does not mean that you'll end up believe what's being taught. Second, a lot of teens tend to have times when they kind of fall away from the church. My story, like I said, is unoriginal. I wanted to be a better person, I saw that people living by the teachings of the church were much happier than me. I wanted that and decided that I can have that~ What the gospel means to me now is completely different. I know that God loves me and have felt his love every step of my life, it was just that at times I was too blind to see it. Thus, His teachings now defines my actions, and my life as I try to live according to it.

How I live my faith

Traveling all the time makes it rather difficult to participate in the ward/branch. However, I love meeting the missionaries where ever I go and taking them out to eat as well as provide any assistance to them in anyway I can. When ever I receive a calling, I like to give it my all because I don't know how long I'll be there with that calling. Just been called to be the executive secretary (first time in such a calling), and really really really excited to serve.
