Hi I'm Marlie

I have lived in Texas my whole life. I am a musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The Gospel is my life and I use the talents that God has given me with music to share my testimony of it. I am a student and BYUi. I am studying vocal performance. I love to sing and dance and be silly. I enjoy being spontaneous with my friends and family. I am currently serving a mission and I'm in the MTC, learning the Russian language. I will be serving in Ukraine Kyiv Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this Church because it is a Church of joy. That is our central message, that we can have joy through the Redeemer, Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I know that this Gospel is true. I know that My Heavenly Father loves me, because He sent His Son to suffer for my sins and pains. It is through the Atonement that we can come to know God and His Son, Jesus Christ. I am so happy because of this Gospel and it has blessed my life as well as my family. I know that through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I can return with my family to live with Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church my whole life and have actively participated in ward callings. I have been the Beehive, MiaMaid and Laurel class president. When I went to school, I was assigned to be a Spiritual Coordinator (I greeted people at the door for church) and a Sunday School teacher. I really loved teaching Sunday School and learned a lot from this calling.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

As a missionary for the Church, I am learning a lot about this question. We as missionaries proselyte because we believe everyone should have the opportunity to hear about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because it brings me so much joy and happiness and peace, I feel a responsibility to share this gift with everyone. Show more Show less
