Hi I'm Riley

I'm a wife. I'm a graduate student. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Maryland but have also lived in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Utah. I have loved the opportunity to live, travel, and see so many different parts of my beautiful country and make friend with so many different people all over the US. Right now I'm a wife and a graduate student. I'm working on my Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and I absolutely love it. I can't wait to help little kids better communicate with their friends and family and gain a greater ability to connect to the world around them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. While I may have grown up on the testimonies of my parents and grandparents, I have come to know for myself that this is the true church and this is where I'm supposed to be. My testimony has grown gradually throughout my life as I have tried little by little, day by day to do what we are taught in church - to read my scriptures, which testify of Christ and the blessings that come from following Him; to pray to my Father in Heaven, which brings a spirit of love and peace to me and my home and guides my daily decisions; to attend church each week, which strengthens and uplifts me and gives me the courage to keep trying my best. I'm Mormon because of the simple fact that I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and died for me. When I am reading my scriptures, praying, and attending church I feel His spirit lifting me up and supporting me. When I face trials, struggles, and doubts I feel His love and His comfort. I'm Mormon because I know that I never have to feel alone because my Savior has felt every pain and trial I face and has suffered my sorrows to guide me through them. I'm Mormon because His prophet leads and guides this Church and helps me have access to the word of God. I'm Mormon because I know that the temple is the Lord's House and because I was sealed there I have a forever family and will be with my loved ones even when they pass on. I'm a Mormon because I know this Church is true and living this gospel has brought me more happiness then I ever knew was possible.

How I live my faith

Right now my husband and I teach Sunday School to the 15-year old youth in our congregation. I love the opportunity to prepare lessons for them and hear their testimonies as we discuss gospel subjects and how to live more Christ-like lives. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow with them as we all work to become the best we can be.
