Hi I'm Amy Haggard

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a mother, a hairstylist and a student. I am an aspiring Mormon Artist.

About Me

It wasn't until later in life that I realized what it was to be truly converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was in my mothers car for just a few minutes after a long time of not feeling the spirit. When Henry B. Eyring came through the sound system in her car. A book To Draw Closer To God came on. Well in those few moments in the car I felt the spirit and it change me. I then attend education week and I grew stronger in the gospel. I then received a calling in nursery and then in primary. I then grew in knowledge and strength of testimony. I served with all the energy of my heart and I learned how to magnify a calling. I draw strength from those I serve and teach now each day. I am grateful to those who have taught me to love and serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. I have my mother to thank for that. Thanks MOM! I guess the first time I realized the church was true was the first time I looked up and I saw a million stars in the sky. Where most people would feel small and insignificant. My mother taught me I was a daughter of God and that the Lord knew me by my name. I felt looking up at those stars that I was important and I was part of his plan and that I would help him bring to past the eternal life of man. I felt important! I guess my testimony grew from that moment. I also remember thinking about Joseph Smith and I realized that Joseph Smith could be off playing with his friends and doing the things 14 yr old boys do. I remember thinking... this must be true if the Lord could convince a 14 year old boy to read. (period) Let alone map his whole life around a book. If you read it you will know why he did. I now know why I am a Mormon...because it is the truth and the fullness. I love the gospel. It is my rock and I can always count on the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to bring me true joy and happiness. May God bless you and keep you.

How I live my faith

I wake up and I study most days. I try magnify my callings using my talents the Lord has given me. I draw strength from the serums on lds.org and I share them with my family. I pray more and I live to be an example of the Lord. I love the church and do my very best to help it grow. I try to be a missionary and I love those around me. I try to be forgiving and I try to repent as much as I need to. I count my blessings and live each day as a new day.
