Hi I'm Paul Edwin Jones

I became LDS back in 1995, I came from a strong religious background.

About Me

I came from a strong religious background. I used to copastored a pentecostal church with my grandfather. Between 1984 through 1989, I went through seminary, I used to ask the professors lots of questions, such as, How come there are no prophets and apostes in the church anymore, how come there are so many english translations of the bible, how come the gifts of the are in operation any more? The answers the professors gave me never came to my satisfactory. I left the seminary frustrated. It was until around August of 1995, I met a young man in college who was 15. We used to have deep religious conversations. One day in October after having numerious talks with him, I asked him what church he went to. He told me he was LDS. The next week he invited me to church, it happed to be a testimony services. Members were sharing their testimonies about how they were thankful for Heavenly Father for a restored church, modern day prophets and apostles, the power of the priesthood, and many other things, and each put lots of joy in my heart, The following week I met with the missionaries at the young man's home with his family. I went though all 6 discussions in two sessions and October 21, 1995, I was baptized into the church and confirmed by laying on of hands and received the Holy Ghost. My life has never been the same since then. I know that Heavenly Father is real, that Jesus Christ is our savior, that we have prophets and apostes leading us in the path of truth, wisdom and joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church because it has proven to be of God, to be His Church, that Jesus is still saving people, that we have a future in the next life that promises many blessings. Being a mormon has taken me on a journey of truth, hope, peace, and things beyond my thinking. Every day I thank The Lord for showing me that He loved me, that He had a plan for my life, and I am seeing great things happening to me because of this.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by first, doing my best to follow the scriptures, listen to the prophets and apostles as they hear from God, and depense their teaching twice a year in conference. I go to meetings once a week, to receive sacrament, to remind me that I have made covenants and promises to God, His Church, and my future. I host an online blog and video channel, sharing my experiences with the things I received as a member of the church. My understanding of scriptures is pure, my prayer life is a comfort, my love for the church, Heavenly Father, Jesus, and other believers has increased in such a way that is hard to explain.
