Hi I'm Morgan

I am serving in the Arizona Tempe Mission. I grew up in Texas. I love to dance, hike and laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi there. My name is Morgan, but lots of people know me as Mo. I grew up in Texas, lived in Connecticut for a little over a year and I've spent a year at college in Utah. I am currently serving a mission for the LDS church in Tempe, Arizona speaking Spanish. I'm the oldest of seven kids which I absolutely love. I'm a weirdo in that I absolutely love cleaning. I don't always think before I speak or do things. I'm pretty spontaneous yet I love to plan things. I sunburn very easily. I'm pretty reserved, but once I know you there is no holding back to my weirdness. I love dancing, singing, hiking, backpacking, camping, watching movies, exercising, road trips, organizing, music, writing, reading, painting my nails, laughing, eating frosties and fries, and basically any crazy adventure. I'm pretty easy going. One of my favorite things is to learn about different people, their culture, stories, background. I'm a firm believer in that getting to know someone is the best way to help them and I love helping people. Seeing people smile is what keeps me going. Letter writing is a big thing of mine and anyone who's received a letter from me will tell you that I always close with the words 'keep smiling'. That's what keeps the world going.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon. I've always known the Gospel and the Church to be true. I am a Mormon because it gives me something to stand for. That something is unchangeable. Times change, styles change, but the standards of the Church have never changed. God does not change his rules just because man decided on a new fashion or new way of life. I put my trust in that. I am a Mormon because it brings untold joy to my life. It brings me hope. Because of it, I know where I came from, why I'm here and where I'm going. I am not a physical being having some spiritual experiences in this temporal world, but a spiritual being in a physical body having temporal experiences. Knowledge like this is incredible, powerful and gives me hope for the future. I am a Mormon because I can't imagine living my life any other way. I know that this is the true church on the earth today. I have read the Book of Mormon countless times and I know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ and written for our day. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers. I know that I am a daughter of God, that he looks out for me, and loves me dearly. I know that families were instituted by Heavenly Father from the beginning. My family has blessed my life and helped me become who I am today. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer. I know that he atoned for all of my sins, sorrows, pains, heartaches, and not just mine but everyone's. He did that because he loves us all so much and wants us to return to his Father's presence. I am a Mormon because with the knowledge I have from being one, I have never been more enlightened, never been happier.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures and pray daily, study the words of the prophet and apostles, and attend church weekly. I hold to the standards I have been taught. I stand up for what I believe in, even if I'm alone. I am currently serving an 18 month mission in Tempe, Arizona speaking Spanish. That is the greatest thing I can do at this time in my life to live my faith. I am not simply converting people to my faith. That's not how it works. Everyone has the ability to choose how they want to live their life. What I am doing is being an example of what a Mormon is (as imperfect as I am), sharing my testimony of the Gospel and how it has blessed my life, and loving people through my service.
