Why I am a Mormon

Happiness and true happiness comes from living the gospel and obeying his commandments. The knowledge that comes from being a Mormon brings us happiness. Knowing that I can be forgiven for the mistakes that I make in this life gives me hope and strength. Though people think that we as Mormons have restricted freedom because of the standards of the Church, those standards give us more freedom than anybody. The biggest reason why I am a Mormon is that I want to become closer to my Savior and know him better than I ever could if I was not a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Once or twice a year, we tie food bags to the doors of people in our ward boundaries. Then the next Saturday, we pick up the bags full of food and take them to the storehouse. The food is given to people less fortunate usually just to the people in our community. Most Sundays, I would go to the Veteran's Home where we would give the Sacrament to the residents. I have painted fire hydrants for eagle projects multiple times. I have had many leadership positions where I have planned activities for the other youth my age. I will serve a full-time mission in the New York New York South Mission. I
