Hi I'm Filipine Toli

Called to serve at the Philippines Laoag mission. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

During high school I was involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities, such as the East Bay Academy for Young Scientists, the College Summit at UC Berkeley, Step to College, and the Polynesian club at Fremont High. Additionally, I played on the varsity basketball, volleyball, and softball teams for all four years that I attended Fremont High. I also participated in the Fremont High School community service summer program. Furthermore, I assisted my mother with her job on the weekends, and I also served as a babysitter for my little brothers while she was at work.

Why I am a Mormon

Both men and women may serve as missionaries, and the church maintains a large missionary program worldwide. Faithful members adhere to laws regarding sexual purity, health, fasting, and Sabbath observance, and contribute ten percent of their income to the church as a tithe. In addition, the church teaches sacred ordinances through which adherents make covenants with God, including baptism, confirmation, the sacrament (holy communion), endowment, and celestial marriage (marriage blessings which extend beyond mortality), which are of great significance to church members.

How I live my faith

We are all spiritual children of a loving Heavenly Father who sent us to this earth to learn and grow in a mortal state. As Mormons, we are followers of Jesus Christ. We live our lives to serve Him and teach of His eternal plan for each of us.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Filipine Toli
Jesus Christ invites you to “feast” upon His words (The Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 32:3). This means more than casually reading the scriptures. It means to study them, ponder them, compare verses, learn passages by heart, treasure them, delight in them. Show more Show less
