Hi I'm Skyler

I was born and raised in California. I love listening to music and learning how to cook new dishes i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I"m the kind of person who thinks a lot about everything. I love knowledge seeking truth and enlightenment is something that drives me I have a hunger to understand things. I've always been a bit of a reader from a young age reading stories full of adventure and mystery. My love for stories has led me to seek out my own adventures in life. I would go camping a lot with the Boy Scout troop from my home ward one of the coolest things we did together as a troop was for a 6 day backpacking trip we hiked to Mount Whitney the highest point in the lower 48 states of America. My identity and purpose is being a Mormon. Living my life in harmony with Gods law and striving to develop Christ like traits and doing as Christ would do is my life long endeavor.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of many things the church was always there for me through out my life regardless of my choices or circumstance. Whether it was a member on my doorstep with food in times of financial instability or the fellowship and love from the members. The atmosphere in the church is that of a large family in my ward I feel loved by my Bishop and everyone else lifes hardships are made easier when I attend church every Sunday. I strongly believe in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints because it lifts families supports them making them strong enough to be virtuous and pure. I have found a deep and abiding love for my Savior Jesus Christ through life as a Mormon. I have great peace as a Mormon because I know who I am why I'm here on this earth and that there is more after death that this life is only one step of an eternal journey. My faith gives me purpose it invigorates me with life because I feel loved by God and Jesus Christ. To live close to God daily is wonderful the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints gives that to me and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus of Latter day Saints my entire life and its a large part of my family. I have a lot of fond memories at church activities and service projects. I can think of many times going home teaching with my dad he and I would go to members homes teach a message after that we would then ask if they needed any assistance from the church. In more recent years I was called to be an instructor of a class on Sundays in preparation of serving a full time mission in Spain Barcelona. In family life we pray often together and read the book or Mormon and the Bible.
