Hi I'm Jessica Lyn Viraldo

I'm a missionary. Music is my passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on the west side of Michigan, just minutes from Lake Michigan. I'm a big fan of summer storms on the beach & sunsets over the lake. I have 5 big brothers & two wonderful parents who did us well in raising us in a gospel centered home. Music is a huge part of who I am. Indie/Folk music speaks to me. I yearn to make a difference in people's lives through music. I know that Heavenly Father has given me a gift for music not only to bless my life but to bless others' lives as well. I've been singing since I could talk. Musical instruments are fun. I played the cello & flute in school & am self taught on guitar, ukulele, & mandolin. One day I WILL learn how to banjo. I attended Michigan State University for one year & am currently a full-time missionary serving in the California Rancho Cucamonga Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the single thing that has brought me the most peace and happiness in my life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the same church Christ established during his life here on earth, and what greater blessing is there than to know you are part of His perfect gospel! I know that I can read from the Book of Mormon and gain a better understanding of where I came from, why I am here on earth, and where I am going after this life. These simple truths have given me a greater purpose in this life and a better understanding of the next. Because of this gospel, I have gained a greater understanding and appreciation for my Savior's Atonement. I know that when I mess up I can be forgiven and find relief because of the love Jesus Christ has for me. I know that I can live in the presence of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with my family for all eternity. I feel so blessed that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith simply by living by the standards of the church and commandments of Heavenly Father. I try to be an example in all that I do. As a missionary, if I desire to help people receive the gospel and keep the commitments we leave with them, I must be willing to live them myself. I believe you cannot be effective in helping to convert someone to the gospel past your own conversion to the gospel.
