Hi I'm Linda

I grew up in Podunk Town, Tennessee (north of Memphis). Moved to the West Coast in 1983 and met my very first real life Mormon.

About Me

I'm so happy that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints found me shortly after I moved to this area. I feel so spiritually complete now that I know who I am and where I came from. I'm never lonely in any of the congregations, no matter where I am in the world. The gospel rang true when I heard it for the very first time and I knew this was the truth as I had never heard it before. So I asked God and he gave me the answers I searched for. Can't get enough of the love and acceptance here.

Why I am a Mormon

It all makes sense. I believe in the Bible (the Old Testament and the New Testament) and now I have another witness that Jesus is the Christ through the Book of Mormon. The BIBLE gives us the BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH, which have come to us from the ancient civilizations in other parts of the world. The Book of Mormon gives us additional scriptures which have come to us from the inhabitants of the American continents, and answers so many more of the questions we mortals may have.

How I live my faith

I do unto others as I would have them do unto me - literally. Over the past 30 years, I've taught Sunday School classes to 3-year-olds and teenagers as well as a few to women my own age. (old!) My husband and I love singing in the church choir and even volunteered for the community choir a few years ago and lent our voices to the production of "Messiah". Each month, I plan a lunch-out for 6 to 8 of us older women so they know how much I love each one of them.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

As a Mormon convert, I live my life just like non-Mormons live theirs except that I don't swear, smoke, drink, gamble, drink coffee or tea, nor do I harm my body in any other way. My body is host to a spirit child of our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
