Hi I'm Parker

I grew up in West Jordan, Utah. I snowboard, weight lift, and am currently planning on serving a LDS mission in New Zealand.

About Me

I am currently 18 years old, and recently graduated from high school with my general associates degree. I snowboard in the winter, weight lift year round, and mostly just hangout with my friends. I am currently preparing to serve an LDS mission for two years in Wellington, New Zealand and am very excited to spend the next couple of years there. My favorite thing that I have ever done is gone skydiving over canyonlands, Utah. Nothing quite like that experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon for many reasons. I did hit a time in my life where I spiritually left the church. It took me a while to discover what I believed again. Eventually I studied hard enough to realize that the LDS church is one of the greatest parts of my life. I get reminded every week that we are all here on this Earth for a reason. Not only that, but that we are all here to love and help one another regardless of each others current life circumstances, and that we must find our own reasons to do this, not just to be eternally rewarded. No other church teaches these concepts in such a way that not only make sense but also leave you so much room to be yourself and love the feeling that the church brings you. I am a Mormon, because I have felt the light that it brings to my life, and never want to go back to what it was like when I did not have it.

How I live my faith

I am very busy in my life, but have never had problems making time for church, and other church related activities. I have always attended the regular 3 hour block of church every Sunday along with another couple of hours for miscellaneous church business. I went to seminary all throughout high school; a hour a day, five days a week. I went to mutual every Thursday and had many friends inside and out of the church. For the next couple of years my whole life will be church related and I am very excited about it.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?
