Hi I'm Madisen

I served a mission in Cleveland Ohio + The Historic Kirtland Visitors' Center. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my family and friends! I have the coolest family in the whole world, at least, I think that they are awesome! I have two brothers and I just have awesome parents! I love doing anything that involves being crafty, I love watching movies, especially Harry Potter, I love music SO much, I listen to it all day if I can, I am a sucker for anything pumpkin, I love the smell of smoky winter air, winter is the best time of year and Christmas is the best! I am obsessed with New York City and dream of living there. I hope to work as a Interior Designer. I am excited to one day be a mother and hope to be as amazing at it as my mother is. I am a shop-a-holic and a travel-holic. I love people and I love the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel is true, it is as simple as that. I love my Lord and Savior and the peace and comfort He brings. I know that His power is one that is enabling and that through Him we can accomplish or overcome anything. I know the Book of Mormon is a true book and that it is truly another testament of Jesus Christ, it testifies of Him with power and truth. I that the Book of Mormon goes along with the Bible, that they are both true books and that they both testify of our Brother Jesus Christ. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christs church restored upon the Earth today. I follow His gospel because I have felt it's truth! I have felt Gods love for me and I know that He has a plan for me. I love this gospel and I am certain of it's truth.

How I live my faith

I love my faith by living God's laws, although I am not perfect, I try my very best to do everything He asks of me. I also live my faith by serving as a missionary and sharing the gospel with everyone that I can.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Madisen
There are so many things that tell me that there is a God! It is seen in the Earth around us, in the beauty of the sky, in the billions of stars in the sky, in the extreme detail in each living thing, the miracle of life. So many things testify of our God, our Creator, and His glory that surrounds us. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Madisen
Yes, our prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. Our Father in Heaven speaks through our prophet and gives him revelation to direct His church. When we listen to the words of Gods prophet we are able to live happier lives and are able to be closer to our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Madisen
Families are central to God's plan, it is His way of bringing His children into the world, giving them a place to learn, grow and be loved. We can find strength in our families and so much happiness comes from them. In our Father in Heavens plan we are able to be with our families for all eternity. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Madisen
We proselyte because we know the joy that comes from the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. We feel our Father in Heaven's love for us, we want others to feel the joy and love that comes from understanding that you are a Son or Daughter of God and that He loves you know matter who you are are what you have done. We as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints want to spread the light and happiness that comes from the gospel. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Madisen
The purpose of life is to become more like our Heavenly Father, we are able to do this by having experiences that help us to learn and grow. We are able to learn to chose between good and evil and to do what will help us return to our Father in Heaven. We are here to have families that can become eternal. We are here to progress and become all that God knows that we can be. He wants us to be happy. "Men are that they might have joy." -2 Nephi 2:25 Show more Show less
