Hi I'm Jakob

I married Celestial Starr. I have three angel children. I am the 2nd oldest of 9 siblings. Life is Beautiful. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to Write. I love Basketball. I love Lasagna. I love Rootbeer Floats. I love my Family. I love the Gospel. I love my Savior. I love my Wife. I think everyday of my life is the best day ever, at least until tomorrow. I graduated from USU with an MBA. My best friends are my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is a better way to live. The doctrines and principles found in the Mormon faith build character, strengthen homes, develop understanding, and make me feel so good. I know that the church does so much good worldwide, but the truth behind why I believe is because the Spirit does so much good inside of my soul. There is an overwhelming peace that has come to me as I have chosen to live the Mormon faith. That peace comes from God, and I want to be with God, and so I strive to live and love as He does. There is nothing more rewarding to me than getting on my knees at night and looking back on the day and realizing I did good that day. Whether it was good deeds done for others or simply staying away from the garbage that overruns our world, I feel blessed when I can look back and know that I have done good.

How I live my faith

I love to search the scriptures and find new ways to improve myself. I love to read the Book of Mormon daily and have a chart that keeps track of the days I read. I have done that for many years now and it is so coll to look back and see the number of times I have read the Book of Mormon. Each time I read it I am reassured that it is true. I love to apply Moroni's challenge every time I finish. The Spirit is such a wonderful friend and testifies of truth. I love to watch my children learn how to pray. It is such a sweet process for them and for me. They truly are angels and have a pure way of communicating with our Father in Heaven.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jakob
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the answer to every questions ever asked. It is the strength to go on when you know you cannot possibly do it alone. It is the ultimate sacrifice and the ultimate demonstration of love. It saves me. It saves you. The Atonement is a real thing that happened, not some metaphor or simile. It was the Perfect Christ taking upon Himself the sins, suffering, and sadness of every society ever. It was every wicked thought, deed, and word intended or unintended pressing down at one moment on one Man. All darkness that had cast a shadow from the dawn to the end of time was embraced by His light. Through His perfection we can be perfected. Through His light we can be led out of darkness. Through His suffering we can be free from all suffering. As we come to know our Savior, we come to know how much we don't know about how He did all He did, but we know He did do it. And with that bit of knowledge we can patiently press forward knowing that by and in and through the Perfect Christ we can return home once more, we can become like Him. Without Him all would have been lost. Show more Show less
