Hi I'm Taralyn

I grew up in Las Vegas. I'm on the road to becoming an interior designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music more than anything. Singing is my favorite thing to do. I think the piano is the most beautiful instrument in the world and I love playing it nearly every day. I enjoy reading whenever I can and have a growing collection of over 100 books. I especially love that books can take us to so many different worlds. I treasure every single one of my books because they open up my imagination and take me to places I never could have thought to go. Writing is another one of my favorite things. I write poetry to express what I've been through and my feelings towards it. I'm currently writing my own book. I don't necessarily care if it ever gets published; I just hope to finish it. I delight in learning. I've always enjoyed school and being introduced to new things. I know that everything I can is truly the key to my success. I hope to be as educated as I possibly can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and have never doubted that it was true. My parents have always taught me according to the gospel. They have helped me to love it and encouraged me to learn more from it. I know that I my Heavenly Father cares about me and knows me personally. I know He only wants the best for me and will always help me to achieve my greatest potential. I know I can trust the Holy Ghost to keep me on the straight and narrow path of righteousness. I know that anything I feel through the Spirit is true. I know that this gospel is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I know that I can grow to love others through service, whether it be to serve them or allowing them to serve me. I feel a great love throughout this church. We are all compassionate and care about the wellbeing of others.

How I live my faith

I am currently in a YSA (Young Single Adult) ward. I have a calling as the assistant librarian. It's a great opportunity for me to meet and get to know the people in my ward. The love the members of my ward have for other people, whether they know them or not, is astounding. I participate in our ward choir and love the opportunity I have to express my testimony through music. It also gives the opportunity to spend time with other members that love music just as much as I do. I attend an Institute class twice a week while I'm at school. We're studying the Old Testament and I'm learning so much from my teacher and my peers. They help me see things in a different light. I enjoy reading my scripture at home. I have finished The Book of Mormon twice and will keep reading it over and over again. I learn something new from it every time I read it. I earned my Young Women's Medallion when I was fifteen and received my Honor Bee when I was seventeen. I still enjoy creating and completing projects for myself.
