Hi I'm Kelsey

I grew up in southern California. I hate chocolate. I love to play sports, go on adventures and eat Mexican food. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been playing basketball since I was five and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to play in college. Going to school on the east coast made me realize my love of snow days, warm jackets and apple picking in the fall! I love movies, reading tons of books, sports, laughing, surfing, hiking, traveling, being with my family and hanging with my friends. Through my travels I discovered that my favorite city in the world is Barcelona, Spain. I would move there in a heart beat if I had the chance. I often wish that I had some form of musical talent but sadly I don't. I have an 11 year old Harry Potter Geek inside of me who emerges every now and then. I have been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to Mesa Arizona!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe with my whole heart that this church is true. We have a living prophet in our time who is here to guide and love us. We have another testament of Jesus Christ also called The Book of Mormon that will bring joy and happiness to ones life. It outlines exactly what we have to do in order to return to our Heavenly Father and achieve eternal life. We have temples here on earth today that are the literal House of the Lord and are filled with sacred ceremonies that prepare us to stand before the glory of Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and did see God the father and his son Jesus Christ when he was only 14. Heavenly Father gave Joseph Smith the power to not only find but also translate The Book Of Mormon and for that he faced many trials. Christ's church was put onto this earth to help and create purpose in ones life. The restored church of Jesus Christ is on the earth today! I love this gospel and the amazing things it has blessed me with. This church is true and will be nothing but beneficial to all that accept it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good example to my family and friends. I attend church every Sunday and have the best job in the world! I am the Sunday school teacher for the 5 and 6 year olds. I love my class and I love making church fun. Nothing is more gratifying than showing Christ-like love to everyone and being around my class reminds me of that every week.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Kelsey
In the Book of Mormon's introduction page it says "We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask of God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true." To know that Mormonism is true is to know that the Book of Mormon is true. Read it, ponder and pray to find the answer. Show more Show less
