Hi I'm Ashley

I'm from Spring, Texas. I love music, playing the guitar, and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved singing and by participating in different choirs- whether they be in school or church- I have been able to continuously do what I love. I really love music in general and am almost always listening to it or singing it or playing it myself. I decided to take a guitar class the second semester I was at Brigham Young University and I absolutely LOVED it. Although I am by no means a 'pro' I love just strumming chords and singing along. I can literally just spend hours with my guitar playing songs and singing.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Book of Mormon is true and because I know this, I know that the full gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through Joseph Smith. I want to follow God and my Savior so I choose to do so by being a member of Christ's restored church on earth today. I know that I am not alone and that my Father in heaven loves me and will guide me in my life. I know that often God works through others and I am so grateful for my friends and family, especially my Mom and older brother and sister, who are all such wonderful and faith-filled examples to me. I know that I can be with my family forever if I am obedient and strive to do God's will while on earth. I know God wants his children, who are all of us, to be happy and we can receive this happiness by following Him and His plan for us. The gospel of Jesus Christ contains His plan and by living the gospel I know we will be blessed with happiness even in times of trial and suffering.

How I live my faith

I let my faith show by simply trying to be a good person and by making righteous choices in my life. During my first year at BYU I served as a Sunday School teacher and taught from the Old Testament. This helped me gain experience in learning how to teach and I am grateful I had the chance to serve in that position. I am now preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where I will be sharing the gospel and inviting others to come unto Christ as a full-time missionary for eighteen months.
