Hi I'm Michael

I've lived in Utah most of my life. I served a two-year mission in Tacoma, Washington. I have the best family ever. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a young man going to college, and I'm going into computer science. I love doing almost everything, from archery to photography. I love to play and write music, I love animals, I love sports, I love writing, I love reading, I love anything outdoors, etc. I love just having fun, living good, and being honest.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormons, and so is my whole family. Growing up, I would go to church because I love them, and I knew that's what they wanted me to do. I knew that they had my best interests in mind, but I wouldn't say that I was ever very committed to the religion or anything. I've always known that I had a Heavenly Father out there and He had answered my prayers many times before, and I've always known that His Son, Jesus Christ is real and living. However, I didn't feel that much was really required of me. I obeyed the commandments that were convenient, but that's about it. In fact, I made a lot of stupid decisions, and I fell pretty far. I began to feel that forgiveness was impossible, and that I would never be able to overcome the things that I was chained down to. I awoke every morning with more pain and anguish in my soul than I'd ever experienced. Over time, I felt a calling similar to the one I felt as a small child to serve a mission for the Lord. This pushed me to get my life in order and to become worthy to do so. I did, and I went to Washington to serve, still feeling worthless. There, I learned of God's love for me and all of His children, I feasted upon His word in times both ancient and modern, I served His sons and daughters, I obeyed Him with exactness, I prayed to know truth and the Holy Spirit touched my heart and soul. I was changed for good. I know now without a doubt that Christ lives and that His mercy and grace are beyond what I can comprehend. His love is limitless, and it has formed me into something I could never be on my own. I now do all that is within my power to serve Him and to be the man He would have me be. What better way to do that than to serve in His restored church and live His restored gospel?

How I live my faith

Right now, I try to do all that I can to help those around me. I look for chances to serve other people and help them with whatever may be. I try to use social media to spread positive messages. I try my best to follow Christ and do the things He would do in my place. I do all I can to show a good example of one of His disciples and I try to love and help others like He does.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Michael
You can know that this (and anything else) is true through the thoughts and impressions that come from the Holy Ghost, a messenger sent from God to witness of the truth. The Book of Mormon is the evidence for the truths that we believe in, and within the Book of Mormon, a prophet called of God named Moroni gives us a promise that if we read that book, ponder upon its message, have faith in Jesus Christ, and ask God (the one who knows everything) if it is true in sincere prayer we will know that it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost (Moroni 10:3-5 in the Book of Mormon). If you keep your heart open, if you follow Christ, if you wait patiently and if you really intend to act on the answer you receive, it will come and you will know. I promise. Show more Show less
