Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Southern Illinois. I have also lived in Gilbert Arizona for a few years. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a very rural area. I love to play sports and my favorites are basketball, baseball and football. I played varsity baseball and basketball for all four years of high school. I plan on attending BYU after I serve my mission in Argentina. I'm also an eagle scout, and an active member in my community.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it is the Lord's true and full gospel on the Earth. I grew up being a Mormon and I have always known what is good and bad. I find so much comfort and peace from knowing that I am a child of God and that he is constantly looking out for me. I know that Jesus has died for me so I can return to my Heavenly Father again someday. I am so thankful for having a religion that centers around Christ and the family. I know that my family can be together forever and all eternity if we do our best to live his gospel. I also know that it is tough to always do what is right and be helpful and many of us will fall short, but I also know that there is always hope thanks to Christ's atonement and that we can repent of our sins and continue to progress. I love this gospel and everything that goes along with it.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and I always learn something new. I help out with the youth and their activities, sometimes organizing or help with the physical labor of setting up. I am the assistant to our ward clerk, meaning I help keep track of attendance and member records basically.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

According to the scriptures once we die and are resurrected, our life will be judged. Depending on how well we followed God's will we could return to him or if we choose not to follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ we will be separated from Heavenly Father, unable to truly be happy.
