Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in Georgia. I used to play baseball but now I'm a golfer and I'm planning on being in the golf business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tyler and I am a country boy that grew up in Georgia. I used to play baseball my first two years of high school but I then switched over and became a golfer. I love the game and am going to play it the rest of my life. I am planning on going to the Golf Academy of America to improve my game and if anything become a teaching professional. I have a Mom, Dad, and a Little brother. They mean the world to me. Me, my dad, and my brother are converts to the church. My moms family converted before she was born. She then met my dad and they got married and she wanted to get back into church and got my dad to take the discussions from the elders. He then got baptized a little later. But again they fell away. 2009 rolled around and my mom got a prompting that we needed to get into church so she invited the elders over and me and my brother took the discussions. The spirit that they had with them was amazing and they were able to answer my questions I had as a 13 year old. I loved the messages they shared with me and so me and my brother were invited to be baptized and we gladly accepted it. So that is how my me, my dad, and my brother converted to the church and I can't even explain how happy I am to have this truth in my life. I'm a Mormon, I know it, I live it, and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the simple fact that there is no other religion like this. This religion contains the whole truth. I say the whole truth meaning that it contains every aspect of Christ's church when he was here on the earth. If you compare our church and the way it is set up to the way Christ had his church set up there is no difference. People can't find anything wrong with our religion but there is many who don't like it. My belief on that is because they can see that we have all the truths of the gospel and they are scared. So in the act of being scared they become defensive and start talking bad about this religion even though we do nothing to them. In fact we actually help out other churches through community service and different sort of things. But as long as we choose the right and live the way we know is right we will be ok in the end.

How I live my faith

I would usually try to interact with our youth as much as possible on like Wednesday nights. I didn't usually participate in a lot of community things because of sports but I would try to help out as much as I can. I love to help people and I love to see when people are happy and pleased. I try to walk the same path that Christ did. It is impossible but if I do my absolute best I know that God will take care of the rest. Another way I am living my faith is by serving my mission in the Fort Collins Colorado Mission.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement is the only way to be able to receive the highest glory after we die. The Atonement lets us be able to fully repent of our sins. The Straight and Narrow path described in the scriptures is the path that Jesus Christ walked. We try our best to walk that path but because we are human we mess up. But the Atonement lets us be able to repent and get back to the path instead of straying farther and farther away. So without the Atonement, without the sacrifice of Christ, we would not be able to stand in the presence of God as a worthy soul. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith is believing in something that cannot be seen, touched, or heard. It is also an action word. In this sense we call it exercising your faith. This includes going to church, reading your scriptures, praying, and doing things that Christ would do. Faith is also a trust. Trust in your heavenly to know that he is there and will bless you as you exercise your faith. Show more Show less
