Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Utah. I love being outside and being active. Learning new things is my favorite activity. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child out of five children. I have two older brothers, a younger sister, and one more younger brother. I have lived in Utah for my whole life and absolutely love it here. I am a little bit of an adventure junkie. Hiking, running, swimming, boating, cliff jumping, canoeing, and all kinds of sports are things that I enjoy doing. I was part of my high school swim, track, and cross county teams. I love being outside and being active. When I'm not working or playing I also like to read and learn. Learning new things is my favorite! One of my goals is to learn a bunch of different skills and then choose one that I really enjoy to do for the rest of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love how being a part of the church makes me feel inside. I have found that the peace and calm that I get from being a Mormon isn't able to be felt in doing anything else. I love knowing that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and is always looking out for me. I find comfort in knowing that I can turn to my Heavenly Father with anything and everything in my life. Whether it is the death of a loved one, a hard day at work, or maybe just to say thank you for finding my car keys. I know that my prayers are heard, and I know that I am able to receive answers to help my everyday. I am a Mormon because I can feel that it is the true and right thing to do.

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to go and serve a two year mission in Vancouver Canada. In preparation for serving as a missionary my best friend and I were called as local ward missionaries to help us get the feel for teaching the gospel. Him and I currently teach lessons to people investigating the church every Sunday during what is called gospel principals class. Helping to teach these lessons has helped me prepare for my mission in Canada and has helped me live my life more in harmony with the teachings of the church. I also live my faith by consistently reading my scriptures and saying my prayers everyday. I have made it a personal goal to do these things everyday to help me feel closer to my Father in Heaven.
