Hi I'm Savannah

I'm a collegiate track athlete. I'm serving a mission in Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors and have had the opportunity to live near the mountains where my family, friends, and I often go dirt biking, fishing, hiking, trail running, snowshoeing and of course skiing. I love art, especially painting and photography. In High School, I played soccer on our varsity team and ran track in the spring and had the amazing opportunity to work with wonderful people as a women distance team captain. I just finished my freshman year of college, and am studying marketing and photography while running track there (mid-distance runner). I will serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, leaving this fall for Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me joy. The world is full of things that are fun and may give temporary happiness. But when I make the right choices, when I try to live more like the Savior, that is when I am truly full of joy. The gospel of Jesus Christ is fully restored in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has all of His truth, and all of His authority. It is so good to know where to turn to in troubled times. Jesus Christ is my rock, my anchor, and I know he loves each of us and died for each of us knowing that we would make mistakes, hoping we will always repent to come back to Him. I know this is His church, and that He is the way. Families will be together forever if we try to be more like Him.

How I live my faith

I teach the gospel to kids around the age of 5 in a group called Primary. It's a great opportunity to feel of their innocence and the love the Savior has for them. I couldn't love it more!
