Hi I'm Sean

I'm a musician. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play guitar and piano and I sing. Music is an excellent way to invite the spirit and I love to make it. I got my GED after my junior year in high school to pursue a college education in music and now I'm serving a mission in St. Louis, Missouri. I don't believe in bad experiences and I believe that you can choose to have any experience make you stronger by learning from it, or you can let it consume you and bring you down. I try to choose to learn from my trials. That's why I think life has such a propensity to allow us to progress!

Why I am a Mormon

I'd tried all kinds of different religions and Christian denominations to find a relationship with God eventually ending in my conclusion that he didn't exist. Maybe that there was a higher power of some kind but definitely not God. I was an angry and miserable Agnostic and wanted nothing to do with anything that even smelled like religion. I met the missionaries through my mom who was taking lessons at the time and they were nice guys but I didn't want to talk religion with them. After I saw how happy my mom was when she was living the principles of the gospel I started asking the missionaries questions that no other evangelist could answer for me. It didn't take long for them to get through a good chunk of my questions and I kept asking them more. When they were all answered I started actually taking the lessons and I made the decision to be baptized after praying and feeling that this gospel was the right way to go. It's been the best decision I've ever made and, while it didn't automatically solve all of my problems, it's given me resolve and strength to keep on living and to keep striving to be a better man. I know with all of my being that this gospel is true and that God, our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to seek truth. If you follow the Commandments with which you're familiar and seek truth, you WILL find this church and this Gospel because it will be the only viable option. It is true and I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

I love to learn and church is an awesome facilitator for gaining knowledge. I used to teach the young kids in our ward and they always had something to share! I probably learned more from them than I taught them. And that's the point of how I live my faith. I try to learn something from everybody. Even if they're not of my faith, everyone has something to offer. I try to serve others when I can, wherever I can and I try to share the life changing happiness the Gospel has brought me with everyone who's willing to hear it.
