Hi I'm Jay

I grew up in the small town of Declo, Idaho. I´m left handed. Skiing is on my mind 24/7. I´m now a missionary in Barcelona, Spain.

About Me

Hey I´m Jay Christopherson. I grew up in the small town of Declo, Idaho and I´m thankful for it every day. I love the smell of the mountains after a good rain and skiing as much as I possibly can. I grew up in a place where you can wakeboard in canals, chase wild cows, surf behind a boat on a calm summer night, ski every day that you´ve got money for gas, and pretty much go for whatever else the adventurist inside you wants to do. I´m the oldest of five children and my family is a giant blessing in my life. There´s nothing better than just hanging out with the family after a long day. I graduated from Declo High School in 2013 with about 70 others, and I´m proud to say that it was a bigger class than the year before. After graduating I made the decision to go on a full-time LDS mission, and I am now in Barcelona, Spain with the amazing people and culture here and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of the church, but I am a Mormon because I have seen the blessings that the restored gospel brings to my life and the lives of my loved ones. Also, I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed with a sincere heart, and received an answer from my Heavenly Father, through the promptings of the Holy Ghost, that it was true and that I was on the correct path. I have such a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, and that anyone that reads it, really wanting to find out if it´s true, will be able to receive a testimony that it does contain the pure word of God and that the true church of Jesus Christ was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. I have seen it in my life, I have seen it so many times here in Spain, and I know that I will continue to see it as the gospel continues to be taken forth to all parts of the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday, deciding to leave on a mission, and trying to set the best example I can for my family by being the person that my Heavenly Father wants me to be, in the church, within the community, and in everything else I do. I also try my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ and apply the attributes that he had into my daily life, and use the scriptures (the Bible and the Book of Mormon) to help me learn and follow the teachings of his gospel.
