Hi I'm Hannah Anderson

I'm from Minnesota. I am a completely average young woman with a lot of hope for the future. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a little girl my parents taught me to love learning. My dad, a police officer, taught me about self defense and shared his love of history. Some of my best childhood memories consist of my family traveling around the country to visit historical sights. My mother read to me often, everything from L.M. Montgomery to Louis L'Amour. As such, I grew to love reading and writing. To this day I have innumerable notebooks filled with short stories I've written. I was home schooled briefly as a child and then returned to public school. Throughout my high school years I was involved in tennis, choir, and various other activities. Tennis especially became one of my passions and I recently had the opportunity to assistant coach the girls high school team. Now I look forward to serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints following which I will go to college to pursue a to-be-determined career. I hope that whatever I choose to do will restore a little more beauty and light to the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for one all-encompassing reason: the gospel is true. I cannot deny that which I know so deeply and love so much. I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed to know for myself of its truth with the intention to act upon my answer. There have been points in time where I have slightly distanced myself from the gospel. I could sense a definitive change in my life, a loss of peace and meaning. The gospel brings great joy and it makes so much sense. It answers so many questions. The spirit has witnessed its truth to my heart. My own spirit recognizes the message of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. Because of the restored gospel I better understand the perfect love the Savior has for each of us. I testify that if you read the Book of Mormon and sincerely pray to know if it is true that God will hear and answer you. I know that this knowledge will bless your life and bring peace to your soul. The Savior's love for you is unconditional and the fullness of his gospel can be found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am so grateful for the goodness it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live my faith everyday by praying, reading scripture, and focusing outward. I've always thought that it's so amazing that we have the ability to speak with our Heavenly Father through prayer! How blessed we are that our Father desires to hear from us. What a marvelous gift. It is one huge way that I feel God's love is truly evident. I always try to begin and end my day in prayer so that I can be focused on what really matters. I love to read the scriptures as well. The scriptures have answered and continue to answer my questions. The prophetic counsel within the scriptures brings so much clarity to my life. As I go about my day, I try to serve others. I try to focus outside of myself and be more aware of my fellow man. I find that the more thoughtful I am of others, the less difficult my own burdens seem. However, I have a very, very long way to go before I am good at this! I have many, many imperfections but that's one thing I love about the gospel: we can repent and try again. None of us are perfect, but because of the atoning sacrifice of the Savior we can become better and return to live with Heavenly Father. I constantly strive to make my life a reflection of my faith.
