Hi I'm Jessica

I live in Ohio, I'm a convert, I love the gospel.

About Me

I am currently trying to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life. I am wanting to go back to school. I have several different fields I am interested in but can't see myself doing all of them. I would like to do something administrative in the future. I currently work at a pharmacy and I do like the work that is involved. I like to read. I like pretty much anything that leaves you wondering and wanting to know what happens next, although I like compelling and sometimes heartfelt books, also. I enjoy watching movies and am not that picky when it comes to movies either.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was converted to the church and knew and know it to be true. It felt right to me but it did take me several months to feel committed enough to be baptized. It is a large step and one that I am so thankful to have made. I have learned so many different aspects that I never had in my life before. There is always more to learn and modern day revelation to learn from. I like that it is different from other religions because there is modern day prophets and modern day revelation. This was not hard for me to grasp. I always think of the scripture that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God spoke to prophets and gave them counsel ever since the beginning and He does not stop today. While scripture is very important and relevant today I find joy hearing and reading conference talks and things out of the Ensign magazine. I now know without a doubt that I have a Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father that loves me more than I can imagine. Christ atoned for my sins alone and for the entire world that we may have the opportunity to be forgiven of our sins because he was the only one that lived without sinning.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by just doing the best that I can. I am surrounded by family members and friends that do not share my beliefs and do not always uplift me. I do a lot of things by myself and that is okay, I have grown to become my own strength. I am so thankful for those that I have met through church that help me to really live my life the way that I should be. I have many examples of people that I look up to. Qualities I admire are those that are understanding, always kind, and always happy. Going to church is my strength and where I find the umph to keep pushing forward regardless of what comes my way. I go to institute weekly and it has brought me knowledge and friends that I didn't have before. This is a weekly class for young single adults ages 18-30 and there are teachers that teach about the scriptures. I always enjoy being around people that are good. So many people in the world today do not leave you with a good feeling after you have been around them. I seek for good influences to be around as often as I can and that is usually people in the church. Not saying that there aren't other good people and there are that I also enjoy being around.
