Hi I'm Hannah

I grew up in a small town in Arizona. I will be serving a mission in Honduras starting in October. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of four children. My siblings support and love me in all I do. Family is everything to me. I am a proud aunt of six nephews and one niece. My parents are my best friends. I would be nothing without my family. I just finished high school in May and headed to college for a summer term. I love college and look forward to graduating. I deferred for a year and half to serve a mission. It is something I have wanted to do since the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints lowered the mission age. I love meeting new people and going on adventures so I can hardly wait to start my mission. I love books, old movies, and music. I enjoy to dance and play soccer. Small towns are the best place to grow up. I like to take things in a slow pace. Life isn't meant to be hurried along. God meant for us to enjoy it. I love my life and I love the people in it. I love to laugh! I take life with a smile. I'm a huge fan of America, horses, and cowboys. Hard work is the way to go! The only way to make it through this life is with our Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I received an answer from God that it is a true church. I grew up in the church, but I didn't always believe. There was a time where I rebelled against my family and against the things I had been taught. One day I woke up and discovered that I was miserable in the things I had chosen. I had never completely abandoned my faith, but I wasn't doing all I could to help it grow and to find out for myself if the Mormon church was true. I was unhappy and I needed to know why. It was quite a process for me. I went through a lot of heartache and pain. But in the end, God helped me discover that all I needed to be happy was to accept the truthfulness of His church. Once I did that, my whole life changed. I have never been more happy than when I knew that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true. I continue to follow it because nothing brings me more happiness. Having Christ in my life helped me understand myself and helped me to find relief from the choices I had made. He saved me and continues to save me everyday. By following Him, I have found pure and beautiful happiness.

How I live my faith

I have grown up as a Mormon. I love it. I live my faith by incorporating it in all I do. Service is a huge part of it. My town always seems to have a service project going on and there is no better way to get to know people and make new friends than by doing good and helping someone out. I was asked to participate in family history work in my ward and it has made all the difference in my life. Learning about my family and the people that came before me has helped me know what I want my life to be like. I have loved helping other people discover their ancestors as well. It's amazing how knowing about your roots can shape who you will be. Church dances are the best. Dances and holiday parties seem to happen at least once a month. It is great to get together with family and friends and eat good food and have good and clean fun. Every week, I get together with other youth my age and we learn more about Christ and his gospel. We read out of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. We discuss and grow together. We make new friends and we learn more about ourselves and who we are and where we came from.
