Hi I'm Spencer

I run, I'm academic and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I graduated from Bountiful High School with an International Baccalaureate Diploma, several track medals and memories to spare. In my spare time I enjoy video games, soccer and dates.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a normal kid just trying to do his best to do what is right. I was born in the LDS faith, but that doesn't mean that I was forced into it or that I haven't searched on my own for what is the right thing to do. For the most part it was the small and simple things that convinced me of the truth of the church. As my mother puts it: "it just makes sense." Other than that several intense spiritual moments have increased my desire to serve the lord. Priesthood blessings and finally personally giving them out have strengthened my testimony immeasurably. Re-enactments and stake activities, especially those dealing with Christ, brings strong feelings to my heart and memory. Lastly, perhaps the biggest reason I am a Mormon, is how I have received personal revelation through prayer and the scriptures. Being able to see the hand of God in my own life has given me the desire to serve others through a mission and then in turn to help them see god in their own lives. That is whyI am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I live my faith essentially through trying to be the best person I can. The LDS faith helps me to keep myself humble and involved, providing service activities, chances to socialize and uplift, and a spiritual crutch to lean on. In my church I have been called to positions of leadership and I don't think this sets me above others, it only gives me the opportunity to help them. I have been called to serve the Lord in an LDS mission and will be serving in Aquascalientes, Mexico and spending all my time living my faith.
